Doosan-Daewoo has acquired Bobcat

The manufacturer of construction equipment and forklifts Doosan-Daewoo has signed the agreement to acquire three divisions of the Ingersoll-Rand Company Ltd, including the world-famous manufacturer of the construction equipment Bobcat.

The deal amounted to $4.9 billion. The acquisition of the Bobcat Company, the world leader in the production of the construction equipment, increased sales of the Doosan-Daewoo company to approximately $7,4 billion and moved the Doosan from the 19^th to the 7^th place in the ranking of the world producers.
Doosan-Daewoo Infracore is the large Korean corporation which produces construction, loading, storing and other specialized equipment. The company originated in 1896, and now it comprises the defense and industrial enterprises. The company intends to enter the Doosan brand in the top five world leaders in production of loaders by the year 2010.
