       At destruction of buildings and constructions the basic amount of works is carried out by hydraulic hammers (hydrohammers). The hydrohammer is the replaceable attachment established on excavator instead of the removed bucket and connected to hydraulic system of excavator. Replacement of the bucket to hydrohammer is made very easily and quickly. We will illustrate this statement on an example. As a rule, several  excavators participate in building destruction, and one og them use bucket as attachement, others use hydrohammer. However if on a pulling down place one excavator will work as required operatively changing attachement, it practically won't be reflected in speed of performance of works. Except excavators, hydrohammers can be established on hydraulic excavators, and also loaders, manipulators, stationary installations which break lumps of rock  and others hydraulic machinery.

        

Replaceable working tools of a hydrohammer are cone tool, cross-section and longitudinal wedges, a chisel and tromb plate. For performance of various kinds of works individual selection of the replaceable tool is required. For example, if it is required to carry out dismantle of concrete by a hydrohammer or to open asphalt the leading part in shock destruction of such firm materials will belong to a wedge, a chisel and  tool. If it is necessary to condense, on the contrary, a friable ground, as the replaceable tool will be used tromb plate.

The hydrohammer is irreplaceable by manufacture of the various building, tunnel, road and other kinds of works. With  hydrohammer it is possible to destroy concrete and ferro-concrete designs, to open asphalt, to split up rocky breeds,  loosening of frozen breeds, ice and packed materials, and on the contrary - consolidation friable ground. One more scope of application of a hydrohammer - opening of the various underground communications, such as gas pipelines, thermal highways or telephone pipelines.

The choice of a hydrohammer with this or that effective power is defined by durability of a destroyed material. So, the heavy hydrohammers possessing the big energy of blow, allow to break away larger fragments from a ferro-concrete file and, accordingly, are ideally suited for destruction of volume designs from ferro-concrete. Easy hydrohammers which at smaller energy of blow differ higher frequency of blow, are used for destruction of rather thin designs or for crushing of ferro-concrete plates and strong rocks on rather small pieces.
